Insight: The 3 Major Australian Cities Ranked in The 10 Best Liveable Cities in the World 2026

世界住みやすさランキングに豪州3都市が10位内にランクイン

The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), the research division of the British political and economic magazine The Economist, has released “The Global Liveability Index 2026” which is the 2026 ranking of the "Most Liveable Cities," with major Australian cities ranking high. Melbourne ranked 3rd (4th in 2025), Sydney 4th (6th in 2025), and Adelaide 8th. This survey evaluates the liveability of 173 cities worldwide based on five criteria: stability, healthcare, education, culture and environment, and infrastructure. The results highlight the excellent living conditions in Australia's major cities.

英国の政治経済誌エコノミストの調査部門エコノミスト・インテリジェンス・ユニット（EIU）による、2026年の「最も住みやすい都市」ランキングが発表され、前年に続き豪州の主要3都市が10位内にランクインしました（3位：メルボルン、4位：シドニー、8位：アデレード）。メルボルンとシドニーがそれぞれ3位と4位に躍進しました。この調査は、世界の173都市を対象に、安定性、医療、教育、文化・環境、インフラの5項目を数値化し、住みやすさを評価するもので、豪州大都市の生活環境の良さを示しているものといえます。
